In May 2016, in parallel with preparations for the official visit of the US President Barack Obama to Viet Nam from May 22 to 25, Petrolimex Aviation supplied Jet A-1 fuel for a number of aircrafts belonging to the presidential air force at the international airports of Noi Bai, Da Nang and Tan Son Nhat.

Petrolimex Aviation had been well-prepared and timely supplied fuel for aircrafts that arrived in advance, and planes carrying goods and equipment to serve the President’s delegation during their stay in Viet Nam, including: the C-17 Globemaster III - a large military transport aircraft, the Lockheed C-130 Hercules - a military transport aircraft, the Marine One helicopter which had the duty to escort and provide emergency rescue on the President’s route from airports to Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh cities, and other specialised vehicles.

At the time airlines were increasing their flights during the summer time, Petrolimex Aviation had been proactively set up plans and schedules to ensure sufficient supply of fuel for both these airlines’ planes and the US President’s air fleet at airports, whilst ensuring security and punctual fuel supply.
