Petrolimex Aviation
On December 18, 2024, the Vietnam Aviation Business Association (VABA) held the Executive Committee Conference for the 2020–2025 term and the 2024 Annual Conference at the headquarters of the Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation (VATM).
The Conference was chaired by Mr. Le Hoang Minh – Chairman of the Members’ Council of VATM and Chairman of VABA, with the participation of nearly 80 delegates representing member organizations of the Association.
The delegation of Petrolimex Aviation Fuel Joint Stock Company (Petrolimex Aviation/PA) was led by Mr. Luong Ho Anh – Deputy General Director, together with representatives of several departments of the Company.
In 2024, the international aviation market showed strong signs of recovery, particularly in the Asia–Pacific region, which was expected to fully recover within the year. International tourism to Vietnam increased significantly compared to 2023 and is forecast to fully recover and surpass pre-pandemic levels by early 2025. The Vietnamese aviation market recorded a rapid recovery, playing an important role in promoting socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security, and enhancing international integration.
In this context, VABA member enterprises successfully fulfilled their tasks, ensuring safe and efficient flight operations, and achieved notable results in aviation infrastructure investment, expansion and upgrading; service provision; aviation safety and security assurance; and natural disaster prevention and response.
As a member of VABA since 2023, Petrolimex Aviation has made active and meaningful contributions to the Association’s activities through the stable and high-quality supply of aviation fuel at domestic and international airports. The Company has continuously expanded its supply network to meet the growing demands of airline customers.
At the same time, Petrolimex Aviation has been a pioneering enterprise in contributing to the development and improvement of State management policies and mechanisms, leading the energy transition trend toward greener aviation and emission reduction in line with the Net Zero goal, notably by becoming the first company to supply Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) in Vietnam.
In addition to serving commercial flights, Petrolimex Aviation has excellently fulfilled its political and strategic missions, including refueling aircraft for state and government leaders’ special flights, supporting major national political events, supplying fuel for national defense units, and carrying out the preservation and storage of national fuel reserves.
In recognition of these contributions, at the Conference, Mr. Luong Ho Anh – Deputy General Director of Petrolimex Aviation – on behalf of the Company, was honored to receive a Certificate of Merit from the Vietnam Aviation Business Association for outstanding achievements and contributions to the development and strengthening of the Association in 2024.
