Petrolimex Aviation
On February 7, 2025, in Hanoi, Petrolimex Aviation Fuel Joint Stock Company (Petrolimex Aviation) held a kick off ceremony to officially launch the ISCC (International Sustainability and Carbon Certification) project.
Attending and participating in the kick off ceremony were Mr. Quach Thach Thi – Lead Consulting Expert of ISC Vietnam International Standards Co., Ltd., and Ms. Nguyen Nam Tran – Director of Business Assurance Solutions, SGS Vietnam.
Representing Petrolimex Aviation were Mr. Pham Huy Thong – Chairman of the Board of Directors; Mr. Nguyen Van Hoc – Party Secretary, Member of the Board of Directors and General Director; Mr. Le Minh Quoc – Deputy General Director of Military Petrochemical Joint Stock Company and Member of the Board of Directors; together with members of the Board of Directors, Board of Management, Supervisory Board, and leaders of departments and affiliated branches of the Company.
ISCC is a globally recognized sustainability certification system. With more than 8,000 valid certificates in over 120 countries, ISCC is one of the world’s largest certification schemes. Over years of development, ISCC has been governed by an association with more than 230 members, including research institutes and non-governmental organizations (NGOs). The ISCC system is used to verify and ensure that agricultural, forestry, and renewable energy products are produced in accordance with sustainability standards while minimizing negative impacts on the environment and society.
Speaking at the kick off ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Hoc – Party Secretary, Member of the Board of Directors and General Director of Petrolimex Aviation – emphasized that the development of a system toward ISCC sustainability certification demonstrates the Company’s strong commitment to contributing to global low-carbon emission goals, as well as to realizing Vietnam’s commitment made at COP26 to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050.
To successfully implement this important project, the General Director requested all departments and branches across the system to proactively prepare all necessary resources, work together with unity, initiative and a high sense of responsibility, and focus on ensuring the project is carried out in accordance with the set schedule.
With the determination and collective efforts of all employees, Petrolimex Aviation is confident that the project will achieve remarkable success, helping to enhance the Company’s position in the market, contributing to the greening of the aviation industry, and promoting sustainable development and prosperity for the country.
Also at the event, Petrolimex Aviation officially launched the “PA Green” movement, aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The initiative focuses on raising environmental awareness, encouraging the use of environmentally friendly solutions, and promoting greener and cleaner workplaces and offices. Through this movement, the Company seeks to improve employees’ mental and physical well-being while enhancing the effectiveness of greenhouse gas emission management.
