On April 28, 2025, Petrolimex Aviation Joint Stock Company (Petrolimex Aviation – PA) celebrates its 17th anniversary, marking a solid development journey and reaffirming its commitment to accompanying the growth of Vietnam’s aviation industry. Though relatively young compared to the nearly 70-year history of Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex), Petrolimex Aviation has swiftly established itself as a reputable and professional aviation fuel supplier, trusted by both domestic and international airlines.
A Development Journey – Affirming Its Position
Founded on April 28, 2008, Petrolimex Aviation was assigned the mission of re-establishing Petrolimex’s aviation fuel business, providing the most professional and optimized services to airlines.
After 17 years of continuous expansion and development, the Company has become a key aviation fuel supplier in Vietnam and the region, making significant contributions to national economic growth. By 2025, its customer portfolio has expanded to over 80 airlines, including major global brands such as Air France, Emirates, Etihad Airways, Japan Airlines, Azur Air, and many others.
Petrolimex Aviation has also been a pioneer in providing fuel supply services for Vietnamese airlines (Vietjet Air, Bamboo Airways, Vietnam Airlines) at international airports. Its supply network has been continuously expanded, with 9 domestic fueling locations at key airports such as Nội Bài, Đà Nẵng, Cam Ranh, Tân Sơn Nhất, and Phú Quốc, along with more than 70 international locations across over 20 countries and territories, including China, South Korea, Japan, the United States, France, Russia, Singapore, and India.
Petrolimex Aviation is an active member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and the Joint Inspection Group (JIG), and proudly served as the host of the IATA Aviation Fuel Forum 2016 (AFF 2016) held in Hanoi.

National Mission – Towards Sustainable Development
With its well-established reputation and service quality, Petrolimex Aviation has been entrusted with the mission of refueling state and special flights, including those of foreign leaders, notably the U.S. Presidential aircraft (September 2023) and the French Prime Minister’s aircraft (November 2018).
Additionally, Petrolimex Aviation serves as the fuel supplier at Điện Biên Airport, playing a vital role in the 70th Anniversary of the Điện Biên Phủ Victory (May 7, 2024) by providing fuel for flights carrying Party and State leaders, heroic veterans, Điện Biên soldiers, and numerous domestic and international visitors.
The Company is also a pioneer and key distributor of Jet fuel produced by domestic refineries (Dung Quất and Nghi Sơn), and a fuel supplier to national defense units such as the Vietnam Helicopter Corporation and military air regiments 910, 915, 918, and 920, contributing to national energy security.
Beyond business operations, Petrolimex Aviation has taken the lead in the development of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), marking a significant milestone with the first SAF-powered flight in Vietnam, refueled by the Company in October 2024.
The Company also actively engages in social welfare activities, including donating charitable houses, supporting medical equipment, and improving educational facilities across various localities nationwide, demonstrating its strong sense of corporate social responsibility.
